The BWT besthead filter head is a smart technological solution that can be fixed to any BWT water+more filter, so you only have to purchase it once! The bypass is easy to install, can be used repeatedly, and is safe. A non-return valve on the inlet side prevents any ingress of water into the drinking water system and a similar valve on the outlet side seals the filter off from the end device (e.g. coffee machine). Both non-return valves close if there is a sudden drop in pressure, which prevents leakage and water discharge during replacement of the filter. The dual system is rounded off by the BWT bestflush bleed valve, which is what makes this technology unique.

Designed for use with all varieties of BWT filter cartridges, the Filter Cartridge Head connects to your espresso machine through your water line. The filter head is compatible with any plumb-able espresso machine and uses 3/8" European threading. To prevent leaks and stop return flow along the supply pipe, the filter head is fitted with anti-backflow valves.

The filter head can be adjusted to one of several blend settings based on the hardness of your water. The blend settings adjust the amount of water run through the ion exchange in ratios of 0/100, 10/90, 25/75, and 40/60. When switching out filter cartridges, the filter head will cut the flow of water to prevent leaks.
